Coretec Naturals 1200 Meadow is a stunning Light Oak style plank with a variation of colour tones running throughout the board which makes cleaning a breeze.The square edge fitting system gives you a beautiful flat look without any bevelled joints.

ABOUT CORETEC:

All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.

CORK UNDERLAY:

Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. This makes it ideal for todays ecological concerns. The benefits of cork don’t just stop there. It is warmer, quieter and conceals imperfections better than most other underlays. Cork will also provide you with a natural protection against mould and mildew.

DIFFERENT STYLES OF FLOORING:

Coretecs Naturals Collection comes in the following different styles:

1200 is a smaller size plank that has a square edge fitting system with no bevelled edges.
1200+ is a smaller size plank that has a bevelled edge on all 4 sides.
1500+ is a medium size plank that has a bevelled edge on both sides but not the top and bottom boards.
1500+ Embossed is a medium size plank that has a bevelled edge on both sides but not the top and bottom of the boards. It also has an embossed textured surface.
1800+ Embossed is an extra long plank that has a bevelled edge on both sides but not the top and bottom of the boards. It also has an embossed textured surface.

1. Since Meadow doesn't have an EIR finish, how realistic does the surface texture feel? While Meadow lacks the "register" (where the physical dent perfectly matches the visual knot), it still features a high-definition textured emboss. This provides an all-over tactile feel that breaks up the light, preventing the floor from looking like a flat, plastic sheet. The result is a soft, satin-matte finish that mimics the "brushed" feel of natural timber, making it very comfortable for walking on in socks or bare feet.

2. Does the lack of deep register grooves make Meadow easier to clean than "Bark" or "Swamp"? Yes, quite often it does. Deeply embossed floors (like the EIR styles) can sometimes trap micro-dust or kitchen grease within the specific grain indentations. Because Meadow has a more uniform, shallower texture, it is significantly easier to sweep and mop. You’ll find that a microfibre flat mop glides across the surface much more smoothly, making it a brilliant choice for high-traffic kitchens where spills are common.

3. Will the joints in Meadow be more prominent since it uses a micro-bevel? Meadow typically features a 4-sided micro-bevel, which is a very shallow V-groove. Because the "Meadow" colour is a light, sandy oak, the shadows in these grooves are very faint. This creates a "soft-focus" look across the floor. Unlike darker boards where the bevel creates a sharp black line, Meadow’s joins are subtle, giving you the character of individual planks without making the floor look too "busy" or segmented.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
