ABOUT CORETEC:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.
CORK UNDERLAY:
Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. This makes it ideal for todays ecological concerns. The benefits of cork don’t just stop there. It is warmer, quieter and conceals imperfections better than most other underlays. Cork will also provide you with a natural protection against mould and mildew.

Ask a Question
1. Does the "Bark" visual feature a high-shade variation between planks? Yes. Coretec Naturals Bark is designed to mimic authentic reclaimed wood. This means you will see a moderate-to-high V3 shade variation. Some planks will lean toward a deep, charred umber, while others show lighter sandy-brown undertones. To get the best look, it is highly recommended to "shuffle" planks from at least three different boxes during installation to avoid clusters of dark or light spots.
2. How does the integrated cork underlayment handle heavy furniture in this specific line? The 1.5mm cork underlayment attached to the Bark planks is naturally compress-resistant, but it isn't invincible. Because Bark features a sophisticated embossed-in-register (EIR) texture, deep indentations from heavy, sharp-legged furniture can disrupt the light-catching "grain" of the floor. Using wide-diameter felt protectors is essential here to maintain the 3D visual integrity of the wood-grain texture over time.
3. Will the dark tones of Bark show more footprints or "smudging" than lighter Naturals styles? Because Bark sits on the darker end of the Naturals spectrum, it can be more prone to showing matte "smudging" from oily footprints or dust compared to a blonde oak finish. To keep the deep brown tones looking crisp without a hazy film, you should avoid "mop and shine" products. A simple pH-neutral cleaner or a damp (not soaking) microfiber mop is the best way to keep the Bark aesthetic from looking cloudy.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
