Brighten Your Home with Coretec Megatile Aneto: The Ultimate Beige Stone Aesthetic

When it comes to creating a sense of “boundless” light and airy sophistication within an Irish home, Coretec Megatile Aneto is the definitive choice. This premium 8.8mm thick LVT captures the serene, organic beauty of sun-bleached limestone, offering a soft beige palette that transforms any room into a tranquil sanctuary. If you are looking to “open up” your living spaces while enjoying the high-performance durability of modern engineering, Anito provides the perfect foundation.

A Greener Foundation: The Eco-Friendly Power of Cork

At Floorstore Direct, we know that Irish homeowners are increasingly conscious of their environmental footprint. One of the standout features of the Coretec Naturals Series is the integrated natural cork underlay.

Cork is one of nature’s most sustainable marvels. Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees without ever cutting the tree down, it is a 100% renewable and biodegradable resource. By choosing Aneto, you are opting for a floor that:

  • Promotes a Healthier Home: Cork is naturally antimicrobial and resistant to mould and mildew—a vital benefit in the damp Irish climate.
  • Superior Thermal Insulation: It acts as a natural heat trap, ensuring your beige tiles feel warm and “cosy” underfoot, even on frosty mornings.
  • Natural Sound Absorption: Cork is an elite acoustic insulator, significantly reducing the “clatter” of footsteps in busy family households.

Why Aneto is Ireland’s Premier “Life-Proof” SPC Floor

Living in Ireland means your flooring must handle everything from rain-soaked coats in the hallway to the steam and spills of a bustling kitchen. Coretec Megatile Aneto is a 100% waterproof floor, ensuring it will never warp, swell, or peel when exposed to moisture.

Built with a high-density SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) core, these 8.8mm tiles offer unparalleled dimensional stability. Unlike traditional ceramic or stone, Aneto is “shatter-proof” and incredibly resistant to impact. With a commercial-grade wear layer, it is “life-proof,” defending against scratches from pets and the heavy footfall of a busy household while remaining effortlessly easy to maintain

Ask a Question

1. Does the light "Aneto" beige colour show "mop streaks" or stains from spilled liquids? Not at all. Unlike real limestone, which is porous and easily stained by wine or coffee, Aneto features a high-performance PU-protective coating. It is non-porous and stain-resistant, meaning spills sit on the surface for easy cleaning. Its matte finish is also excellent at diffusing light, which helps hide drying marks or minor cleaning streaks.

2. Is the 8.8mm thickness of Aneto sufficient to bridge gaps in an old wooden subfloor? Yes. The rigid SPC core combined with the substantial 8.8mm thickness is specifically designed to provide "bridge-ability." While a level subfloor is always best, Anito is much more forgiving than thinner 4mm LVT and will not "telegraph" minor imperfections or grout lines from a floor beneath it.

3. Will the "Aneto" tiles fade if installed in a bright, south-facing sunroom? Coretec is engineered with advanced UV-inhibitor layers. While natural stone can sometimes shift in colour over decades, Aneto is designed to remain colour-stable even under the direct glare of sunlight. This makes it an ideal, fade-resistant choice for large glass extensions and conservatories common in modern Irish homes.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
