About Coretec:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.

Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. 1. Is the "B" variation of Ustica 0272b less slip-resistant because it looks "smoother" than the 0272a? Even though Ustica 0272b has a more uniform, "honed" visual compared to the more "pitted" look of some "A" variants, it maintains the same high-performance slip resistance. The texture is engineered at the microscopic level within the wear layer. It provides a reliable grip that meets residential safety standards for kitchens and bathrooms, ensuring that the "smooth" limestone aesthetic doesn't translate to a slippery surface when walked on with wet feet or socks.
2. Does the lighter pigment of Ustica 0272b make it prone to "yellowing" in areas with high-intensity UV exposure? No. Unlike natural limestone which can oxidise or change colour, or cheaper vinyl products that can "amber" under the sun, Ustica 0272b features a UV-stabilised decorative film. This is protected by a multi-layer acrylic topcoat that filters out the rays responsible for fading and discoloration. Your sun-drenched breakfast nook will maintain that crisp, sandy-beige tone for years without developing the "yellow" cast often seen in older synthetic flooring.
3. Will the integrated grout on Ustica 0272b trap more dirt because it is a lighter color? The integrated grout lines in the Cera Touch system are not porous like traditional cement grout. In the Ustica 0272b, the grout line is a non-absorbent, factory-sealed polymer. While it is a lighter shade to match the tile, dirt and grime cannot penetrate the surface. Any surface dust simply sits on top and is easily removed with a standard vacuum or damp mop, meaning you never have to "scrub" the grout lines with a toothbrush to keep them looking new.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
