About Coretec:

1. Does the deeper "Toasted Almond" pigment of Teneguia 0196b fade if installed in a room with large south-facing windows? No. Teneguia 0196b is manufactured with a high-definition decorative film that is chemically stabilized for UV resistance. While traditional natural terracotta or dyed concrete can "bleach" or lose its warmth under constant solar exposure, the Cera Touch 0196b is topped with a specialized UV-cured acrylic coating. This ensures the rich, warm earthen tones stay saturated for the life of the floor, even in high-sunlight areas like sunrooms or foyers.
2. How does the "B" variation of Teneguia 0196b handle the appearance of "haze" from hard water in a bathroom? The mid-tone, multi-tonal nature of Teneguia 0196b is actually the most "maintenance-friendly" in the collection. Because the color mimics natural stone with varying shades of tan and light brown, it hides the white, cloudy residue of dried hard water minerals (calcium and magnesium) much better than a solid dark or a very light tile. A simple damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner is usually enough to restore its original luster without deep scrubbing.
3. Is the Teneguia 0196b compatible with heavy kitchen islands or "fixed" cabinetry? Since Teneguia 0196b is a "floating floor" system, you should never install heavy, fixed kitchen islands or cabinetry directly on top of it. The mineral core needs to be able to expand and contract slightly as a single unit. To achieve a high-end look, the cabinets should be installed first, and the Teneguia 0196b should be installed around them with a proper expansion gap, which is then covered by a toe kick or base molding. This prevents the floor from "pinching," which can cause the click-lock joints to separate over time.
Fitting Guidelines
n order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
