About Coretec:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. Cork Underlay:
Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. 1. Does the Teneguia 0192b surface feel as cold as real stone when walking barefoot? No, this is one of the primary benefits of the Cera Touch construction. While Teneguia 0192b perfectly replicates the visual and textured "hand" of real stone, its mineral core and specialized top layer retain an ambient room temperature. It offers a much higher degree of thermal comfort than natural travertine, making it a favorite for bathrooms and bedrooms where "cold feet" are a concern.
2. Is the bevel on Teneguia 0192b deep enough to catch dirt and debris like real grout lines? The Teneguia 0192b utilizes an Enhanced Integrated Grout Line. While the visual depth is convincing, the actual "valley" where the planks meet is shallower and smoother than traditional grout. It is specifically designed to be "sweep-friendly," meaning common household dust and pet hair won't get trapped in deep crevices, allowing for much easier maintenance with a simple microfiber mop.
3. Since Teneguia 0192b has a multi-tonal, sandy visual, does it require a specific "brick" or "staggered" installation pattern? While you have creative freedom, Coretec recommends a staggered or offset installation(typically a 1/3 or 1/2 offset) for Teneguia 0192b. This specific color has subtle directional veining; staggering the planks breaks up these lines, preventing a "grid" look and enhancing the authentic stone-floor illusion. Because of the click-locking mechanism, you get this professional masonry look without the complexity of spacers or mortar.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
