About Coretec:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.
Cork Underlay:
Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. 1. Does the light "Cool Grey" of Pico 0393b show dark pet hair or outdoor debris? Pico 0393b features a balanced, mid-to-light grey palette that is specifically engineered to be a "neutral mask." Because it mimics the natural tonal shifts of poured concrete—including slight mottling and "cloud" effects—it hides common household debris like light pet dander and dried water spots much more effectively than a solid-colored tile or a very dark stone visual.
2. How does the "B" batch of Pico 0393b handle high-traffic "pivot points" like those found in commercial entryways? Pico 0393b is built with a multi-layer mineral core that provides superior resistance to indentation. In high-traffic pivot points (where people turn sharply, such as near a doorway or a desk chair), the 20-mil wear layer prevents the "tracking" or "dulling" common in standard vinyl. The matte finish is specifically designed to maintain its uniform luster even under heavy foot traffic, ensuring the "concrete" look doesn't turn shiny over time.
3. Will the integrated grout lines on Pico 0393b look "too white" or artificial against the grey concrete visual? No. The grout lines on Pico 0393b are color-coordinated to provide a soft, "cement-set" contrast rather than a bright white. This ensures that the transition between the planks looks like a professional masonry installation. The depth of the grout line is also micro-beveled, which creates a realistic shadow line that mimics a traditional 1/16-inch grout joint without the maintenance headaches of real mortar.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
