ABOUT CORETEC:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.
CORK UNDERLAY:
Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. This makes it ideal for todays ecological concerns. The benefits of cork don’t just stop there. It is warmer, quieter and conceals imperfections better than most other underlays. Cork will also provide you with a natural protection against mould and mildew.

Ask a Question
1. What is the specific aesthetic difference between Eifel 1095b and other grey tiles? The Eifel 1095b is the "moodier" sibling in the Eifel collection, featuring a rich, dark charcoal-grey tone. It is designed to replicate the look of premium, deep-toned basalt or dark limestone. Unlike lighter tiles, the 1095b creates a dramatic, high-end contrast when paired with light cabinetry or vibrant furniture. Its intricate, "veined" stone pattern is particularly effective at masking minor scuffs and daily wear, making it as practical as it is stylish.
2. How does the "Cera Touch" construction handle heavy kitchen appliances? Because the Eifel 1095b is built with a high-density Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) mineral core, it possesses incredible indentation resistance. Unlike traditional flexible LVT, which can "pit" or dent under the weight of a heavy American-style fridge or a range cooker, the rigid core of the 1095b distributes weight evenly. This ensures your floor remains perfectly level and free from permanent marks, even in high-utility areas.
3. Is the Eifel 1095b "grout-effect" prone to discolouration over time? No. This is one of the biggest advantages over real stone. In a traditional tile installation, cement-based grout is porous and eventually absorbs dirt, grease, and moisture, leading to staining. The "grout line" on the Eifel 1095b is an integrated part of the CERAGUARD protective layer. It is non-porous and completely waterproof, meaning the sleek, architectural look of your floor won't fade or "yellow" regardless of how many spills it encounters.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
