About Coretec:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.

Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. 1. What is the specific visual character of the Dome 0695b compared to other grey tiles? The Dome 0695b is known for its sophisticated darker slate-grey aesthetic with a subtle "clouded" texture. Unlike flatter grey tiles, the 0695b decor features organic tonal shifts that mimic naturally honed volcanic stone or dark limestone. This depth makes it a designer favourite for creating a high-contrast look against light-coloured kitchen cabinetry or minimalist white bathroom fixtures.
2. Does the "Cera Touch" 0695b feel cold like real slate or stone? Not at all. While the Dome 0695b perfectly replicates the visual and tactile "cold-pressed" texture of stone, the SPC mineral core and integrated cork backing act as thermal insulators. This means the floor stays much closer to room temperature than real ceramic or stone, making it comfortable to walk on in bare feet—even during a cold Irish winter.
3. Is the Dome 0695b resistant to heavy impact, such as dropped kitchenware? Yes, and this is a primary advantage over real tile. Real slate or ceramic can easily crack or chip if a heavy pot or pan is dropped on it. The Dome 0695b features a rigid mineral core designed to absorb impact. Combined with its "CERAGUARD" protective layer, it offers a highly durable, "shatter-proof" surface that is much better suited to the rigours of a busy family kitchen.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
