Product Description

Experience the Airy Luxury of Cascada White Cappuccino Oak

In the world of interior design, a light-filled room is the ultimate luxury. The Quick-Step Cascada White Cappuccino Oak (CASC6033) is designed to bring that breezy, high-end feel into any Irish home. At Floorstore Direct, we have established ourselves as the best place in Ireland to buy engineered flooring because we select products that combine the raw, organic beauty of timber with the strength to handle modern family life.

This specific floor features a “marquant” grading, which is a favourite for those who find uniform planks a bit too clinical. With White Cappuccino Oak, you get the full story of the tree: beautiful knots, natural colour variations, and streaks of sapwood that create a rhythmic, authentic look. The soft, creamy tones of this white-washed oak provide the perfect neutral base, making your furniture and decor stand out while keeping your space feeling expansive.

Engineering That Redefines Real Wood Performance

The Cascada range is famous for being the first truly watertight parquet collection. This 13mm thick board is more than just a pretty surface; it is a technological marvel designed to thrive in areas where traditional wood would fail.

  • Advanced Water Resistance: Thanks to the innovative “Wood for Life” technology, this floor is water-resistant on both the surface and in the joints. Whether it’s a spill in the kitchen or a splash in the bathroom, you can enjoy real wood without the worry of moisture damage.
  • Textured Mastery: The planks are brushed to accentuate the natural grain and finished with a stained, extra matt lacquer. This gives you the tactile sensation of raw wood while providing a protective shield that is incredibly easy to clean.
  • Installation Flexibility: Depending on your subfloor, this floor offers total versatility. It can be glued down for a permanent, solid feel or floated over an underlay using the world-renowned Uniclic Multifit system.

Ask a Question

1. Is "White Cappuccino" too light for a busy hallway? Actually, the vibrant grading and brushed texture are excellent at hiding dust and footprints. Unlike dark, high-gloss floors, this light, extra matt finish maintains its "just cleaned" look much longer.

2. Can I really put this in a bathroom? Yes! The Cascada collection is specifically designed for wet areas. When installed correctly with the recommended sealants, it offers a level of water resistance that was previously impossible for real engineered wood.

3. Does 13mm thickness allow for sanding? Yes. While the water-resistant lacquer is built to last a lifetime, the genuine oak wear layer on this 13mm board can be professionally sanded and refinished in the future if you ever decide to change the look of your home.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Quick-Step Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
