1. Is "Brushed Oak Beige" too light for a busy kitchen? Not at all. While the tone is light and airy, the brushed texture and natural grain patterns are excellent at hiding minor dust and pet hair. Combined with its water-resistant surface, it is one of the easiest light-coloured floors to maintain.
2. Can this floor be installed over underfloor heating? Yes! This 9mm laminate is specifically engineered for high thermal conductivity. When paired with the correct underlay, it provides efficient heat transfer, keeping your home cozy and warm.
3. What is the difference between this and real oak? To the naked eye, very little. The Capture range uses a "Genuine Bevel" and an Embossed-in-Register surface, meaning you can feel the grain exactly where you see it. You get the beauty of oak with none of the sanding, oiling, or moisture sensitivity.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Quick-Step laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
