Product Description
Step into timeless sophistication with Canyon Oak 125mm, a beautifully crafted engineered wood floor that combines natural charm, exceptional durability, and effortless style. Available exclusively at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 18mm oak floor is designed to bring warmth, character, and lasting quality to any interior — from modern family homes to elegant period spaces.
Each plank of Canyon Oak is finished with a matt lacquered surface that enhances the natural grain and tone of the oak while offering durable protection against everyday wear and tear. The matt finish provides a subtle, understated sheen that highlights the authentic texture of real wood, allowing light to play softly across the surface without overpowering the space. The result is a floor that feels both luxurious and natural — the perfect balance between modern refinement and timeless appeal.
The 125mm width of the boards adds to its classic charm, offering a more traditional look that works beautifully in both small and large rooms. Narrower planks help create a sense of depth and continuity, making spaces feel grounded and cohesive. Whether installed in a sleek urban apartment or a country-style home, Canyon Oak delivers an elegant, organic foundation that complements every style of décor.
Built to perform, this 18mm engineered floor is constructed using multiple layers for enhanced stability and strength. Unlike solid wood flooring, engineered floors are designed to resist expansion and contraction caused by Ireland’s changing climate, making them a smart and sustainable choice for Irish homes. The tongue and groove system allows for easy installation — it can be floated over an underlay or glued directly to the subfloor, depending on your preference and project requirements. This flexibility ensures a secure and seamless fit every time.
Canyon Oak’s warm, natural tones make it incredibly versatile, pairing effortlessly with neutral palettes, bold accents, or natural textures. Whether you’re creating a rustic farmhouse feel or a minimalist contemporary design, this floor provides the perfect foundation for your space. Its tactile finish and solid underfoot feel make it as pleasant to walk on as it is to look at.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Canyon Oak is pretty much the same as most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
