The light, airy colour palette of Icelandic Oak brings a sense of space and serenity to your home. The subtle blend of white and grey tones, enhanced by a realistic oak grain texture, gives this laminate floor the authentic look of natural wood flooring. The soft neutral hues reflect light beautifully, making smaller spaces feel larger and brighter while adding a touch of modern sophistication. It’s the perfect choice for open-plan living areas, bedrooms, or hallways where you want a timeless yet contemporary aesthetic.

At 12mm thick, this laminate floor provides a sturdy and comfortable underfoot feel. The extra thickness not only enhances the sound insulation of your home but also gives the floor a reassuring sense of quality. Rated AC4, Icelandic Oak is designed to withstand the demands of busy households — from family traffic to everyday wear — making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as kitchens, dining rooms, and living spaces. The hardwearing surface resists scratches, stains, and fading, ensuring that your floor stays looking flawless for many years to come.

Installation is fast and simple thanks to the precision click-fit system, which allows the planks to lock securely into place for a seamless, professional finish. And unlike traditional wood flooring, Icelandic Oak requires no sanding, polishing, or refinishing. A quick sweep and a light mop are all that’s needed to keep your floor looking as fresh as the day it was laid. It’s a practical and stylish option for anyone who loves the look of wood flooring but prefers the easy care and affordability of laminate flooring.

The neutral colour tone of Icelandic Oak makes it one of the most versatile choices in interior design. It pairs beautifully with clean whites, soft greys, or bold, colourful furnishings — adapting effortlessly to your personal style. Whether your taste leans towards minimalist Scandinavian or warm rustic charm, this floor provides the perfect backdrop.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Canterbury laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
