Product Description

Urban Minimalism: Elevate Your Interior with Camaro Soho Cement

If you are looking to capture the chic, understated aesthetic of a high-end city gallery or a modern open-plan kitchen, Soho Cement from the Polyflor Camaro collection is an inspired choice. This 2mm thick LVT masterfully replicates the smooth, tonal variations of polished concrete, but replaces the typical cold grey with a refined, soft cream palette. The result is a luminous, airy foundation that provides a sleek, industrial backdrop while maintaining a sense of warmth and light—perfect for the unique natural light of an Irish home.

A True Designer’s Canvas: The Versatility of Glue-Down LVT

One of the primary reasons professional designers favour the Polyflor Camaro range is the sheer creative freedom it provides. As a permanent glue-down floor, Soho Cement serves as a versatile canvas for bespoke interiors. At Floorstore Direct, we often help customers elevate this floor by incorporating Polyflor feature strips and borders. You can choose a seamless, edge-to-edge installation for a monolithic, poured-concrete look, or introduce contrasting grouting strips in graphite or silver to define each tile. This level of customisation ensures your flooring is a unique reflection of your personal style.

Technical Precision for High-Performance Living

Soho Cement is engineered to withstand the rigours of modern life while remaining stunning. Because it is a glue-down product, it offers superior structural stability and acoustic performance compared to floating floors.

  • 100% Waterproof: This floor is entirely impervious to moisture, making it the premier choice for splash zones in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens.
  • Polyurethane (PUR) Reinforcement: The surface is treated with a high-quality PUR coating, ensuring it is exceptionally easy to clean and highly resistant to daily scuffs and stains.
  • Underfloor Heating Compatible: It is an excellent thermal conductor, making it perfect for use with underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C) to keep your home cosy throughout the winter.

Ask a Question

1. Does the light "Soho Cement" finish show up dirt and pet hair easily? Actually, the subtle "cloudy" concrete effect is incredibly practical. The gentle tonal shifts in the cream palette help to diffuse light and mask light dust or minor footmarks much better than a solid, flat-coloured tile. A quick damp mop is usually all it takes to restore its pristine finish.

2. Why must the subfloor be moisture-free before installation? Since Soho Cement must be glued down, any residual moisture in the subfloor can prevent the adhesive from bonding correctly. This can lead to tiles lifting or "bubbling" over time. We always recommend a professional moisture check and the use of a smoothing compound to create a glass-like finish before installation.

3. Is this floor suitable for high-traffic areas like hallways? Absolutely. While it is a beautiful choice for residential homes, the Polyflor Camaro range is also durability-rated for light commercial use. Its permanent glue-down bond and tough 0.3mm wear layer make it an excellent, hard-wearing choice for busy Irish households.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
