Product Description

Industrial Character: The Rustic Charm of Camaro Salvaged Timber

If you are looking to infuse your home with the rugged, storied soul of an upcycled industrial loft, Camaro Salvaged Timber from the Polyflor collection is a design masterpiece. This 2mm thick LVT is not your standard oak-effect plank; it is a high-definition tribute to reclaimed wood. Featuring a warm, natural oak colour palette, this floor is specifically engineered to showcase extreme colour variation and a weathered, “upcycled” aesthetic. Each pack contains multiple board widths (76mm, 101mm, and 152mm), allowing you to create a truly random, authentic timber layout that looks like it was salvaged from a historic Irish mill.

A Bespoke Design Canvas: The Glue-Down Advantage

Unlike standard “click” systems, Camaro Salvaged Timber is a glue-down LVT, offering the ultimate in structural stability and creative freedom. Because the planks are permanently adhered to the subfloor, you can experiment with the layout to highlight the dramatic shifts from light to dark tones. For those seeking a truly unique finish, this is a design option floor; you can incorporate Polyflor feature strips or borders to mimic traditional ship-deck caulking or to frame a room with a decorative perimeter. At Floorstore Direct, we believe this versatility is why Camaro remains a top choice for bespoke Irish renovations.

Engineered for High-Performance Irish Living

In a busy Irish household, a floor needs to be more than just a pretty face. Salvaged Timber is built to handle the chaos of daily life:

  • 100% Waterproof: Perfectly suited for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms where real reclaimed wood would warp or rot.
  • Durable Wear Layer: A 0.3mm clear wear layer combined with a Polyurethane (PUR) reinforcement makes it resistant to scratches and incredibly easy to clean.
  • Underfloor Heating Compatible: This floor is an excellent thermal conductor, ensuring your home stays snug and warm when paired with underfloor heating (up to 27°C).

Ask a Question

1. Why does this floor come in three different plank widths? The multiple widths (76mm, 101mm, and 152mm) are designed to replicate the "random width" look of old, reclaimed barn wood. Installing different widths alongside each other breaks up the uniform pattern found in standard floors, giving your room a much more organic, handcrafted feel.

2. Is the extreme colour variation a defect or a feature? It is a deliberate design feature! Salvaged Timber is intended to look like wood collected from different sources. You will see significant shifts from light honey tones to deep, smoky oak within the same pack. We recommend "shuffling" the planks from several boxes before fitting to ensure a perfectly balanced, random spread of colours.

3. Can I install this floor myself over my existing floorboards? Because this is a 2mm glue-down product, it requires a very specific subfloor. You cannot glue it directly to old floorboards as the gaps will "telegraph" through. You must first over-ply your floorboards with 6mm flooring-grade plywood or use a smoothing compound on concrete to ensure a glass-like, moisture-free surface for the adhesive to bond to.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
