Product Description

Industrial Elegance: Elevate Your Home with Luna Concrete

If you are looking to achieve the cool, minimalist aesthetic of a modern urban loft or a high-end architectural gallery, Luna Concrete from the Camaro Rigid Core range is a design triumph. This 5.5mm thick LVT by Polyflor captures the raw, atmospheric beauty of polished cement, featuring a soft, lunar-grey palette with subtle tonal shifts. It provides a sleek, industrial foundation that complements everything from mid-century modern furniture to vibrant, eclectic Irish interiors. Unlike real concrete, which can be prone to cracking and staining, Luna Concrete offers a flawless, high-performance finish built for the rigours of 21st-century living.

The Resilience of Camaro Rigid Core: Advanced SPC Technology

In the unpredictable Irish climate, your flooring needs to be as tough as it is stylish. Luna Concrete is a high-performance SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) floor, engineered with a solid, mineral-core construction that provides world-class dimensional stability. Unlike traditional flexible vinyl, this rigid core means the tiles won’t warp, swell, or “telegraph” minor subfloor imperfections, making it the premier choice for both new-build projects and home renovations across Ireland.

As a 100% waterproof floor, it is the perfect practical choice for moisture-heavy areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms. While many homeowners compare this range to Karndean flooring, the Camaro Rigid Core collection is uniquely celebrated for its Valinge 5G® press-fit technology. This allows for a glueless, rapid installation that is up to 30% faster than standard vinyl—making it a favourite for both DIY enthusiasts and professional fitters alike.

Silent Luxury with Integrated Rubber Underlay

One of the standout features of this Polyflor flooring is the pre-attached acoustic rubber underlay. This integrated layer is a massive advantage for modern living:

  • Exceptional Sound Reduction: It reduces noise transfer to rooms below by 18dB—ideal for apartments or upstairs bathrooms.

  • Thermal Comfort: Unlike real cement or ceramic tiles that feel icy to the touch, the rubber backing acts as a thermal barrier, keeping the floor feeling snug and comfortable on chilly mornings.

  • Cost-Efficient Installation: Because the underlay is already attached to every tile, you save significant time and money on additional materials and labour.

Ask a Question

1. Is the "Luna Concrete" finish too light for a busy kitchen? Not at all. While the colour is a sophisticated light grey, the multi-tonal cloudy effect and matte finish are incredibly effective at diffusing light. This helps to mask light dust, pet hair, and dried water spots far better than a solid-coloured tile, making it a very low-maintenance option for busy Irish households.

2. Can I install Luna Concrete directly over my old ceramic kitchen tiles? Yes! Thanks to the rigid SPC core and the 5.5mm thickness, Camaro Rigid Core is designed to bridge minor grout lines and subfloor imperfections that would cause thinner vinyls to fail. This saves you the upheaval and cost of a full floor "rip-out" during your renovation.

3. Is the rubber underlay safe for use with water-based underfloor heating? Absolutely. Luna Concrete is fully compatible with most water-based underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C). The combination of the dense SPC core and the integrated rubber backing allows heat to transfer efficiently and evenly, ensuring your "industrial" floor feels luxuriously warm.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
