Fenland Oak LVT from our Camaro Rigid Core range is a beautiful, natural colour board. As with all our lvt floors it is 100% waterproof. Because it is made from vinyl it is softer and warmer than most laminate floors. It is also incredibly durable and suited for the heaviest traffic and wear in your home. With a 5.5mm thickness it is perfect for areas where space is tight and can even be fitted over tiles. Fenland Oak LVT has its underlay built in to it so you save on that cost.

Product Description
Contemporary Elegance: Elevate Your Home with Fenland Oak
If you are looking to capture the cool, minimalist aesthetic of modern Scandinavian design or a sleek urban apartment, Fenland Oak from the Camaro Rigid Core range is a definitive choice. This 5.5mm thick LVT by Polyflor masterfully replicates the weathered beauty of natural timber, featuring a sophisticated light-to-mid grey oak palette with soft, flowing grain patterns. It offers a bright, airy foundation that makes any room feel more expansive, providing a high-end finish that complements everything from neutral palettes to bold, contemporary Irish decors.
The Resilience of Camaro Rigid Core: Advanced SPC Technology
In the unpredictable Irish climate, your flooring needs to be as tough as it is stylish. Fenland Oak is a high-performance SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) floor, engineered with a solid, mineral-core construction that provides world-class dimensional stability. Unlike traditional flexible vinyl or real timber, this rigid core ensures the planks won’t warp, swell, or “peak” when exposed to the humidity of a bathroom or the fluctuating temperatures of an Irish sunroom.
As a 100% waterproof floor, it is the perfect practical choice for moisture-heavy areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms. While many homeowners compare this range to Karndean flooring, the Camaro Rigid Core collection is uniquely celebrated for its Valinge 5G® press-fit technology. This allows for a glueless, rapid “drop-and-lock” installation that is significantly faster than standard vinyl—making it a favourite for both DIY enthusiasts and professional fitters throughout Ireland.
Silent Luxury with Integrated Rubber Underlay
One of the standout features of this Polyflor flooring is the pre-attached acoustic rubber underlay. This integrated layer is a massive advantage for modern living:
-
Exceptional Sound Reduction: It reduces noise transfer to rooms below by 18dB—essential for apartments or upstairs renovations.
-
Thermal Comfort: Unlike real wood or stone, the rubber backing acts as a thermal barrier, keeping the floor feeling snug and comfortable underfoot on chilly winter mornings.
-
Cost-Efficient Installation: Because the underlay is already attached to every plank, you save significant time and money on additional materials and labour.

Ask a Question
1. Does the grey "Fenland Oak" finish show up dust and pet hair easily? Actually, the multi-tonal grey grain of Fenland Oak is incredibly clever at masking light dust, pet hair, and dried water spots. Unlike very dark or solid-coloured floors, the natural "driftwood" effect keeps your room looking fresh for longer between cleans, making it ideal for busy households with pets.
2. Can I install Fenland Oak directly over my existing ceramic kitchen tiles? Yes! Thanks to the rigid SPC core and the 5.5mm thickness, Camaro Rigid Core is specifically designed to bridge minor grout lines and subfloor imperfections that would cause thinner vinyls to fail. This saves you the upheaval and cost of a full floor "rip-out" during your renovation.
3. Is the integrated rubber underlay safe for use with underfloor heating? Absolutely. Fenland Oak is fully compatible with most water-based underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C). The combination of the dense SPC core and the integrated rubber backing allows heat to transfer efficiently and evenly, ensuring your home stays cosy all year round.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
