Product Description
Contemporary Grandeur: Discover Naked Blonde Oak Large Parquet
If you are looking to infuse your home with the warm, airy essence of modern Scandinavian design while honouring the timeless tradition of European craftsmanship, Naked Blonde Oak Large Parquet from the Polyflor Camaro range is the ultimate floor. This 2mm thick LVT takes the classic herringbone aesthetic and elevates it with a larger plank format. This “oversized” parquet design creates a cleaner, more expansive feel than traditional small-block floors, making it the perfect choice for open-plan Irish homes looking for a sophisticated, light-filled foundation.
Bespoke Herringbone: A True Designer’s Choice
What makes the Camaro range so beloved by interior designers across Ireland is its status as a premier design optionfloor. Because this is a permanent glue-down LVT, you are not limited by the rigid constraints of a click system. At Floorstore Direct, we encourage our customers to explore the creative possibilities of Naked Blonde Oak. You can:
-
Enhance with Feature Strips: Use contrasting inlay strips between the herringbone planks to accentuate the pattern or create a “grouting” effect.
-
Customise with Borders: Frame your hallway or living room with a perimeter border to add a touch of formal elegance.
-
Flexible Orientation: Fit the floor in multiple directions to define different zones in your home without the need for unsightly transition bars at doorways.
Engineered for High-Performance Irish Living
While it captures the raw, sunkissed beauty of natural oak, this beige oak floor is built for the realities of a busy household. As a 100% waterproof floor, it is the premier choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms where real timber parquet would warp or stain.
To achieve a flawless, professional finish, the Camaro glue-down method requires a subfloor that is perfectly level, smooth, and entirely free from moisture. This permanent bond provides superior structural stability and a quiet, solid feel underfoot. Furthermore, it is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C), ensuring your home stays snug during those damp Irish winters.

Ask a Question
1. Why should I choose "Large Parquet" over a standard herringbone block? The larger plank format in the Naked Blonde range offers a more contemporary, less "busy" look. It is particularly effective in larger rooms, as it reduces the number of visual lines, making the floor look more like custom-crafted timber work while retaining that iconic herringbone charm.
2. Why is subfloor moisture testing so critical for a glue-down installation? Because this LVT is adhered directly to the subfloor, any residual moisture in a concrete screed can prevent the glue from bonding correctly. This could lead to the parquet blocks lifting or shifting over time. At Floorstore Direct, we always recommend a professional moisture test to ensure your floor stays perfectly flat forever.
3. Does the light beige oak colour show up dirt and scuffs easily? Quite the opposite! The "naked" oak grain is exceptionally forgiving. Its multi-tonal beige palette naturally masks light dust and pet hair much better than dark or solid-coloured floors. Combined with the Polyurethane (PUR) surface treatment, it is incredibly easy to maintain with just a simple damp mop.
Recommend Adhesive
Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
