1. Does the "Micro Terrazzo" pattern show up dirt and pet hair? Actually, Goldstone is incredibly practical. The intricate, multi-tonal flecks within the sandy base are fantastic at masking light dust, pet hair, and dried water spots. Unlike solid-coloured tiles, this textured visual keeps your floor looking pristine for longer between cleans.
2. Why must the subfloor be perfectly level for a 2mm LVT? Because this is a 2mm glue-down product, it is highly flexible. If there are bumps, dips, or grit on your subfloor, these imperfections can "telegraph" through to the surface over time. We always recommend using a high-quality smoothing compound (screed) to create a glass-like finish before adhering the tiles.
3. Can I install Goldstone Micro Terrazzo in a commercial setting? Absolutely. While it is a beautiful choice for residential homes, the Polyflor Camaro range is also durability-rated for light commercial use. Its permanent glue-down bond and tough wear layer make it an excellent option for boutiques, salons, or high-end office spaces in Ireland.
Recommend Adhesive
Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
