Product Description

Classic Sophistication: Elevate Your Home with Camaro Georgian Parquet

If you are looking to infuse your home with the prestigious charm of a period property, Georgian Parquet from the Polyflor Camaro collection is the ultimate choice. This 2mm thick LVT masterfully captures the deep, soulful character of traditional woodwork, featuring a rich cognac colour tone that radiates warmth and luxury. Designed as a classic small-block herringbone, it provides a stately foundation that anchors any room with a sense of history—offering the opulent aesthetic of a historic Dublin townhouse with the advanced durability of modern luxury vinyl.

Bespoke Craftsmanship: The Art of the Herringbone Layout

What sets the Camaro range apart is its status as a premier design option floor. Because Georgian Parquet is a permanent glue-down LVT, you are not restricted by the linear limitations of standard flooring. At Floorstore Direct, we pride ourselves on helping our customers unlock the full creative potential of parquet flooring. With this range, you have the flexibility to:

  • Fit in Multiple Directions: Lay the blocks in a traditional herringbone pattern, a brick-bond style, or even a double-herringbone for added texture.

  • Incorporate Borders and Feature Strips: Frame your hallway or dining room with a decorative perimeter or use Polyflor feature strips in a dark “Coffee” tone to mimic traditional grouting and accentuate every individual block. This level of customisation ensures that your floor is a unique, one-of-a-kind reflection of your personal style.

Technical Excellence for High-Performance Irish Living

Georgian Parquet is engineered to withstand the rigours of a busy household while maintaining its deep, polished appearance. As a 100% waterproof floor, it is the premier choice for kitchens and bathrooms where real wood parquet would warp or swell.

To achieve a flawless, high-end finish, the installation process is critical. This floor must be adhered to a subfloor that is perfectly level, smooth, and entirely free from moisture. This permanent bond provides superior structural stability and a quiet, solid feel underfoot. Furthermore, it is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C), ensuring your home stays snug during those damp Irish winters.

Ask a Question

1. Does the deep "Cognac" tone show up scratches from pets? Georgian Parquet features a high-quality Polyurethane (PUR) surface reinforcement which is specifically designed to resist scuffs and scratches. While no floor is entirely scratch-proof, the rich, varied grain of the cognac oak is excellent at hiding minor wear and tear, making it a much more practical choice for pet owners than real polished timber.

2. Why is subfloor moisture testing so critical for a parquet installation? Because parquet consists of many small blocks glued individually, any residual moisture in the subfloor can prevent the adhesive from setting correctly. This can cause blocks to shift or "peak" over time. At Floorstore Direct, we always recommend a professional moisture check to guarantee a lifetime of stability for your floor.

3. Can I install Georgian Parquet in a small hallway? Absolutely! In fact, herringbone patterns like Georgian Parquet are a designer’s trick for small spaces. The "V" shape of the pattern draws the eye toward the walls, creating an illusion of width and making narrow hallways feel significantly more spacious and grand.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
