Product Description
Timeless Elegance: Transform Your Space with Camaro Cashmere Oak
If you are looking to infuse your home with a sense of calm, airy sophistication, Cashmere Oak from the Polyflor Camaro collection is an exquisite choice. This 2mm thick LVT masterfully captures the essence of weathered timber, featuring a delicate light oak colour palette with a subtle rustic style. Unlike traditional hardwood, which can feel heavy or dark, Cashmere Oak radiates a soft, luminous glow that makes even the most compact Irish hallways or north-facing living rooms feel expansive and inviting. It offers the textured, high-definition beauty of real wood with the tactile warmth and resilience of luxury vinyl.
A Designer’s Masterpiece: Creative Freedom with Glue-Down LVT
What truly distinguishes Cashmere Oak is its versatility as a premier design option floor. Because this is a permanent glue-down LVT, you are not restricted by the rigid linear patterns of standard “click” systems. At Floorstore Direct, we pride ourselves on helping our customers unlock their creative potential. With this floor, you have the flexibility to:
-
Fit in Multiple Directions: Lay the planks diagonally to draw the eye across a room or create a bespoke focal point using a double-plank border.
-
Incorporate Borders and Feature Strips: Frame your room with a decorative perimeter or use Polyflor feature strips between planks to create a “ship-deck” effect or a subtle grout line that highlights the light oak grain. This level of customisation ensures that your floor is a unique, one-of-a-kind reflection of your personal style and architectural vision.
Engineered for the Realities of Irish Living
Cashmere Oak is designed to withstand the rigours of a busy household while maintaining its pristine appearance. As a 100% waterproof floor, it is the ultimate practical solution for moisture-heavy areas like kitchens and bathrooms where real timber would inevitably warp.
To achieve a flawless, professional finish, the Camaro glue-down method requires a subfloor that is perfectly level, smooth, and entirely free from moisture. We always recommend a professional moisture test and a high-quality smoothing compound to ensure the adhesive bonds perfectly. Furthermore, this floor is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C), ensuring your home stays snug and warm during those damp winters.

Ask a Question
1. Does the light "Cashmere Oak" finish show up dirt and scuffs easily? Actually, the multi-tonal grain and rustic texture are incredibly practical. The soft variations in the light oak palette help to mask light dust and pet hair much better than a solid-coloured floor. Additionally, the Polyurethane (PUR) reinforcement makes it highly resistant to daily scuffs.
2. Why must the subfloor be moisture-free before installation? Since Cashmere Oak is a glue-down product, any residual moisture in a concrete screed can prevent the adhesive from bonding correctly. This can lead to planks lifting or "bubbling" over time. We always recommend a professional moisture reading to guarantee a lifetime of stability for your floor.
3. Can I use this floor in a bathroom with a walk-in shower? While Cashmere Oak is 100% waterproof and perfect for bathroom floors, it should not be used as a floor covering inside the actual shower tray area. However, it is the ideal, slip-resistant choice for the rest of the bathroom, handling steam and splashes with ease.
Recommend Adhesive
Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
