Product Description
Industrial Chic: Redefine Your Interior with Camaro Burnished Concrete
If you are looking to capture the raw, minimalist aesthetic of a modern loft or a high-end architectural studio, Burnished Concrete from the Polyflor Camaro collection is a design masterpiece. This 2mm thick LVT masterfully replicates the smooth, polished texture of industrial concrete, featuring a sophisticated light grey palette with subtle tonal shifts. It provides a sleek, expansive foundation that perfectly complements the “Soft Industrial” trend sweeping through Irish homes, offering a luxurious, tactile surface that is far warmer and more comfortable underfoot than real cold concrete.
A True Designer’s Canvas: The Versatility of Glue-Down LVT
One of the most exciting aspects of the Polyflor Camaro range is its versatility as a bespoke design tool. Unlike rigid “click” alternatives, this glue-down LVT allows for complete creative freedom. At Floorstore Direct, we often see customers elevate Burnished Concrete by incorporating feature strips and borders. You can choose to lay the tiles edge-to-edge for a seamless, poured-concrete effect, or use contrasting inlay strips—such as silver or graphite—to create a bespoke “grout line” or a decorative perimeter. This level of customisation ensures that your floor is not just a surface, but a unique piece of interior art.
Uncompromising Durability for Modern Irish Living
Burnished Concrete is engineered for high-performance living. Because it is a permanent glue-down floor, it offers superior structural stability and acoustic performance.
-
100% Waterproof: This floor is entirely impervious to moisture, making it the premier choice for splash zones in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens.
-
Polyurethane (PUR) Coating: The surface is treated with a high-quality PUR reinforcement, making it exceptionally easy to maintain and resistant to the daily scuffs of a busy household.
-
Underfloor Heating Compatible: It is an excellent thermal conductor, making it perfect for use with underfloor heating systems (up to 27°C) to keep your home cosy throughout the Irish winter.

Ask a Question
1. Does the light grey finish show up dirt and scuffs easily? Actually, the "burnished" effect is incredibly practical. The subtle, cloudy variations in the light grey tone are fantastic at masking light dust, pet hair, and dried water spots. Unlike solid-coloured tiles, this textured visual keeps your room looking pristine for longer between cleans.
2. Why is a professional subfloor preparation so important for 2mm LVT? Because this is a flexible 2mm glue-down product, it will follow the contours of your floor. If there are bumps, dips, or grit on your subfloor, these imperfections can "telegraph" through to the surface over time. We always recommend using a high-quality smoothing compound to create a glass-like finish before adhering the tiles.
3. Is Burnished Concrete suitable for high-traffic hallways? Absolutely. While it is a beautiful choice for residential homes, the Polyflor Camaro range is also durability-rated for light commercial use. Its permanent glue-down bond and tough wear layer make it an excellent, hard-wearing option for busy hallways, home offices, or boutique retail spaces.
Recommend Adhesive
Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
