Product Description

Luminous Modernity: Elevate Your Home with Camaro Bianco Oak

If you are looking to capture the crisp, airy aesthetic of a Scandinavian retreat or a high-end coastal villa, Bianco Oak from the Polyflor Camaro collection is a peerless choice. This 2mm thick LVT masterfully blends the organic texture of natural timber with a stunning whitish-grey palette. The result is a luminous, contemporary floor that reflects light beautifully, making even the most compact Irish hallways or north-facing living rooms feel expansive and modern. It offers the high-definition beauty of wood with a cool, silver-toned twist that remains far warmer and more comfortable underfoot than real hardwood.

A True Designer’s Canvas: Creative Freedom with Glue-Down LVT

One of the primary reasons professional designers across Ireland recommend the Polyflor Camaro range is the sheer creative freedom it provides. As a permanent glue-down LVT, Bianco Oak serves as a versatile canvas for your interior vision. This is a premier design option floor, meaning you aren’t restricted to a standard linear layout. At Floorstore Direct, we love seeing our customers push the boundaries of design. With this floor, you have the flexibility to:

  • Fit in Multiple Directions: Lay the planks diagonally to expand the visual space of a room or create a bespoke focal point using a double-plank border.

  • Incorporate Borders and Feature Strips: Frame your room with a decorative perimeter or use Polyflor feature strips in cool grey or silver to create a “ship-deck” effect that highlights the silver-oak grain. This level of customisation ensures that your floor is a unique, one-of-a-kind reflection of your personal style.

Technical Precision for High-Performance Irish Living

Bianco Oak is engineered to withstand the rigours of a busy household while maintaining its pristine, pale appearance. Because it is a glue-down product, it offers superior structural stability and a solid, quiet feel underfoot.

  • 100% Waterproof: This floor is entirely impervious to moisture, making it the premier choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms.

  • Polyurethane (PUR) Reinforcement: The surface is treated with a high-quality PUR coating, ensuring it is exceptionally easy to clean and highly resistant to daily scuffs and stains.

  • Subfloor Requirements: To achieve a flawless finish, the subfloor must be perfectly level, smooth, and entirely free from moisture. We always recommend a professional moisture test and a smoothing compound before the adhesive is applied.

Ask a Question

1. Does a whitish-grey floor like "Bianco Oak" show up dirt and pet hair easily? Actually, the subtle "grey-wash" grain of Bianco Oak is incredibly practical. The multi-tonal grain patterns help to diffuse light and mask light dust or minor footmarks much better than a solid, flat-coloured floor. A quick damp mop is usually all it takes to restore its brilliant finish.

2. Why is subfloor moisture testing so critical for this glue-down floor? Glue-down LVT requires a bone-dry surface for the adhesive to cure and bond correctly. If there is residual moisture in a concrete screed, it can cause the planks to lift or "bubble" over time. At Floorstore Direct, we always advise a professional moisture reading before you begin your project to guarantee a lifetime of stability.

3. Is Bianco Oak suitable for homes with underfloor heating? Absolutely! Bianco Oak is an excellent thermal conductor. Because it is glued directly to the subfloor, there is no air gap (unlike click floors), allowing the heat to transfer efficiently into your room. It is perfectly safe for use with underfloor heating systems up to 27°C.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Polyflor LVT Flooring must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Polyflor Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
