Broadway Herringbone Iceberg Oak is a stunning smoked, brushed and white oiled engineered parquet floor. The brushed finish removes all the soft grain in the board which allows you to feel the natural texture of your oak floor. The smoked finish is a treatment which deepens the colour of the board. An oiled finish is without question the finest finish available to any floor. It is designed to bring out all the natural grains in your board without an artificial finish.  The white oil on this board will give you a natural whitewash finish.

Product Description

Experience the timeless beauty of a White Oiled Oak Herringbone, a luxurious engineered wood floor that brings elegance, depth, and sophistication to any interior. Available exclusively at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered floors and herringbone flooring, this exquisite 18mm design combines the natural charm of oak with a contemporary white oiled finish to create a floor that’s as durable as it is stunning.

Each block of White Oiled Oak Herringbone has been smoked, brushed, and finished with white oil, creating a captivating balance between rustic warmth and modern refinement. The smoking process deepens the natural tones of the oak, giving it rich character and subtle variations in colour, while the white oil enhances the grain and adds a soft, contemporary hue. The result is a floor that feels light yet full of depth — perfect for bright, open-plan spaces, period restorations, or chic modern homes.

The brushed texture of this engineered herringbone floor accentuates the authentic beauty of real oak, providing a tactile finish that feels as luxurious as it looks. The white oiled coating doesn’t just elevate its aesthetic appeal — it also protects the wood from wear, moisture, and daily use, allowing it to age gracefully while maintaining its natural elegance.

Built for strength and stability, this 18mm engineered flooring is expertly designed to handle Ireland’s varied climate conditions. Its multi-layered structure ensures minimal movement compared to traditional solid wood, offering long-lasting performance and structural integrity. To achieve the best results, this floor must be glued directly to the subfloor, creating a solid, seamless foundation that enhances the precision of the herringbone pattern and guarantees a flawless, professional finish.

The White Oiled Oak Herringbone’s neutral tones make it incredibly versatile — it complements both minimalist Scandinavian-inspired interiors and more traditional, classic spaces. Pair it with soft neutral walls for a bright and airy look or contrast it with darker furnishings for a modern, dramatic effect. The herringbone pattern itself adds a sense of movement and sophistication, making it ideal for living rooms, entrance halls, and commercial spaces where design impact matters.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Engineered Herringbone must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Herringbone Floors is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
