Product Description

Introduce warmth, texture, and timeless elegance to your home with Barista Wide Macchiato, a premium engineered wood floor that blends natural craftsmanship with modern sophistication. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 14mm, 207mm wide plank design captures the essence of classic wood flooring while offering the strength and stability of contemporary engineering.

Each plank of Barista Wide Macchiato is expertly brushed to highlight the natural grain and texture of real wood, giving it a beautifully tactile surface that feels as good as it looks. The matt lacquered finish enhances the natural tones and provides a protective layer that stands up to everyday wear without compromising on elegance. This subtle, low-sheen finish brings a sense of calm and refinement to any space — whether it’s a bright, modern apartment or a cosy country home.

The 207mm wide planks create a luxurious visual impact, helping to open up your room and give it a seamless flow. Their generous width showcases the natural variations of the wood, allowing the floor to feel rich, organic, and full of character. Beneath the beautiful surface lies a 14mm engineered structure, designed with multiple layers to ensure outstanding stability and performance — ideal for Ireland’s changing climate. Unlike solid wood flooring, engineered flooring resists movement caused by temperature and humidity, ensuring a long-lasting and secure fit.

The Barista Wide Macchiato also offers maximum installation flexibility. Thanks to its 5G click system, it can be floated over an underlay or glued directly to the subfloor. This intelligent system makes installation quicker, cleaner, and more efficient, whether you’re tackling a small renovation or a full home makeover. The result is a strong, silent floor that will look flawless for years to come.

With its warm, natural tone and contemporary finish, Barista Wide Macchiato pairs beautifully with both light and dark interiors. Its timeless shade complements neutral colour palettes, wood furniture, and soft textiles, creating a harmonious foundation that works in every setting. Whether you’re styling a modern minimalist living space or a traditional family home, this floor delivers understated sophistication that never goes out of fashion.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Barista Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
