Product Description

Bring warmth, richness, and depth into your space with Barista Plank Macchiato, a sophisticated 14mm engineered oak floor that blends timeless style with modern practicality. Inspired by the robust, comforting tones of your favourite coffee blend, this premium hardwood floor delivers both striking visual appeal and long-term durability.

Finished with a delicate brushed texture, Macchiato showcases the natural grain and knots of European oak, giving it a tactile surface that feels as authentic as it looks. The matt lacquered coating enhances the wood’s raw beauty while forming a durable barrier against daily wear, making it ideal for busy households or commercial interiors.

What sets Barista Plank Macchiato apart is its subtle, medium-toned finish – warm enough to create a cosy atmosphere but neutral enough to complement a variety of décor styles. Whether you’re designing a contemporary open-plan living space, a rustic country kitchen, or a luxury retail environment, this engineered wood floor adapts beautifully.

Installation is as easy as it is versatile. With a 5G click system, Macchiato can be quickly floated over underlay – ideal for projects where time is of the essence. Prefer a more solid, permanent fit? This floor can also be glued directly to the subfloor, delivering added stability and that unmistakable solid underfoot feel.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Barista Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
