Product Description

Bring timeless elegance and warm natural tones into your home with Canadian Red Oak Solid Flooring, availabl at FloorStore Direct – Ireland’s trusted destination for premium solid floors and hardwood floors. Crafted to the highest standards, this 19mm thick solid oak floor offers unbeatable durability, natural character, and a classic look that never goes out of style.

Each plank of Canadian Red Oak is 107mm wide, giving your interior a refined, seamless flow that beautifully enhances both traditional and modern spaces. Known for its distinctive warm hues and subtle grain patterns, red oak is a true classic in hardwood flooring. Its medium tone pairs effortlessly with a wide range of design styles – from cosy country homes to sleek, contemporary apartments.

This solid wood flooring must be glued directly to the subfloor, ensuring long-lasting stability and a secure installation. Once fitted, you’ll immediately notice the rich texture and depth that only genuine hardwood can provide. Unlike engineered options, solid oak floors can be sanded and refinished multiple times, allowing you to refresh your interior for decades to come – a true investment in your home’s beauty and value.

The nature grade of this Canadian Red Oak gives it a wonderfully balanced character. You’ll find smaller knots, gentle colour variations, and occasional sapwood, all of which enhance the authenticity and warmth of the wood. It’s a look that feels alive, celebrating the natural origins of the material while maintaining a smooth and elegant finish. This grade makes it versatile for homeowners who want the charm of natural wood without an overly rustic appearance.

Perfect for living rooms, hallways, dining areas, or even bedrooms, Canadian Red Oak Solid Flooring creates a foundation of understated luxury. Its timeless tone brightens up darker spaces and complements both light and dark furnishings. Whether you’re renovating a period property or designing a contemporary space, this solid oak floor delivers sophistication and comfort in equal measure.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Solid Floors must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions. All Solid Flooring must be left in the room for at least 2-3 weeks prior to installation to be allowed to acclimatise.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Solid Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
