Product Description

Achieve Perfect Harmony with Artureon Balanced Light Oak

In the world of interior design, “Balance” is the ultimate goal—the seamless intersection of natural beauty and unbreakable performance. The Artureon Balanced from Krono Swiss is a masterclass in this philosophy, offering a radiant light oak palette that breathes life and air into any room. At Floorstore Direct, we have built our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by sourcing revolutionary products that solve the age-old conflict between authentic wood aesthetics and the demands of a busy Irish home.

The Balanced decor features a subtle, natural grain and a soft, matte finish that mirrors the texture of high-end oiled timber. By utilizing the grand long and wide board format (), this floor minimizes visual clutter, creating a continuous, architectural flow that makes your living spaces feel exponentially more expansive and serene.

Resin-Encapsulated Innovation: The 100% Waterproof Standard

The true genius of Krono Swiss flooring lies beneath its stunning surface. While many high-end floors are labeled as “water-resistant,” Artureon Balanced is 100% waterproof. This isn’t achieved by a surface coating that can wear away; it is built into the DNA of the board.

Through a patented Swiss process, every individual wood fibre within the 12mm core is encapsulated in a natural resin. This creates a core so dense and moisture-repellent that it is as “hard as stone” while remaining “warm as wood.”

  • Total Moisture Immunity: Perfectly suited for “wet zones” like luxury bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways, this floor will not swell, warp, or peak at the edges when exposed to standing water.
  • AC5 / Class 33 Durability: This is a commercial-grade floor designed for the home. It is virtually immune to the micro-scratches from active pets, high-traffic footfall, and moving furniture.
  • PVC-Free & Sustainable: Made from roughly 80% natural wood fibres and 30% recycled content, Artureon is a CO2-neutral and 100% recyclable alternative to plastic floors.

Ask a Question

1. Does a 100% waterproof resin core make the floor feel cold like tile? Not at all. Despite its "stone-hard" durability, the core is still made of wood fibres. It retains the natural thermal insulation of timber, meaning it feels warmer underfoot than stone or ceramic. It is also fully compatible with underfloor heating, providing a TOG rating of roughly 0.89 for excellent heat transfer.

2. Can I install Artureon Balanced across large areas without expansion joints? Yes! One of the technical marvels of this 12mm resin-core floor is its incredible dimensional stability. You can install Artureon in areas up to 20m x 20m without the need for unsightly expansion profiles or T-mouldings in doorways, allowing for a truly continuous floor design across your entire home.

3. Is the light oak finish difficult to maintain in a high-traffic hallway? Actually, it’s one of the easiest. The "Soft Shield" matte finish is specifically designed to hide dust and micro-scratches better than high-gloss or darker floors.Combined with its AC5 rating, a simple damp mop is all that is required to keep its bright, natural oak tones looking brand new for decades.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Krono Swiss laminate flooring is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
