-
Engineered Proportions: Built with an ideal 15mm total thickness and an expansive 180mm width, these wide boards create an open, airy feeling while providing maximum dimensional stability against fluctuating household humidity.
-
Natural Oak Tone: Showcasing a warm, golden natural oak hue with soft misted undertones, this shade brightens living spaces while retaining a classic, earthy foundation.
-
Rich Rustic Character: Featuring visible knots, mineral streaks, and rich graining, every individual plank tells its own story—ensuring your floor has a distinct, handcrafted look.
-
Tactile UV Oil Finish: Sealed at the factory with an advanced UV oil finish, the surface offers a low-sheen matte look that deepens the grain while providing everyday resistance against scuffs and wear.

Ask a Question
1. Why is 15mm engineered flooring better suited to Irish homes than solid oak?
A 15mm engineered board features a thick real oak wear layer backed by a multi-ply stability core. This multi-layer construction dramatically reduces timber movement, preventing the warping or gapping that solid wood can experience due to changing Irish weather or underfloor heating systems.
2. How do I maintain and clean a UV oiled engineered oak floor?
A factory UV oil finish penetrates deep into the wood fibers while leaving a subtle matte surface. Daily care requires only sweeping with a soft broom or vacuuming. For regular cleaning, use a damp microfiber mop with a pH-neutral wood floor cleaner to keep the natural oak protected and hydrated.
3. Can I get the Moher Mist natural oak shade in a pattern like Herringbone or Mansion Weave?
Yes! Thanks to our exclusive partnership with Amber Sky Flooring, we offer fully bespoke customization. If you love the Moher Mist color palette, we can manufacture it for you in herringbone, mansion weave, Versailles panels, or classic wide planks in your choice of board dimensions.
Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Amber Sky Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
