Product Description

Experience the Natural Serenity of Amato Pure Oak

In the world of interior design, “Pure” is more than just a name—it’s a promise of clarity, light, and organic beauty. The Quick-Step Amato Pure Oak (AMT3100) is a masterclass in minimalist luxury, offering a neutral, clean palette that breathes life into any Irish home. At Floorstore Direct, we have established ourselves as the best place in Ireland to buy engineered flooring because we source collections that refuse to compromise on either aesthetic prestige or daily practicality.

What makes the Amato range a standout choice for modern renovations is its elegant narrow 145mm plank width. While wide planks can often dominate a room, these slender 1820mm long boards create a sophisticated architectural rhythm, drawing the eye across the floor to make hallways and living areas feel significantly longer. Featuring a Marquant grading, Pure Oak celebrates the authentic “signature” of the tree. This means your floor will showcase a lively interplay of natural knots, rich colour variations, and visible sapwood, ensuring your home feels connected to the raw beauty of nature.

Engineered for Performance in Every Room

While the look is pure and organic, the engineering behind this 13mm thick board is 100% future-facing. As a premier destination for Quick-Step flooring, we recommend the Amato collection for those who want real timber in areas previously considered “off-limits” for wood.

  • Revolutionary Water Resistance: Equipped with Quick-Step’s pioneering “Wood for Life” technology, this floor is designed to handle the spills of a busy household. It features a moisture-repellent coating that protects both the surface and the joints, making it a high-performance solution for kitchens and utility rooms.
  • HydroSeal Surface Protection: Combined with the watertight Uniclic Multifit system, Pure Oak is resistant to surface moisture for up to 72 hours. This makes it one of the few luxury engineered wood floors suitable for modern bathrooms.
  • Brushed & Extra Matt Finish: Each plank is meticulously brushed to accentuate the natural grain and finished with seven layers of extra matt lacquer. The result is a tactile, non-reflective surface that feels like raw wood underfoot but offers a durable shield against scratches and dirt.

Ask a Question

1. Does a narrow 145mm plank work in larger rooms? Yes! While narrow planks are a "secret weapon" for making small rooms look bigger, in larger open-plan spaces, they provide a refined, bespoke look that mimics traditional high-end parquetry.

2. Is the "Marquant" grading too rustic for a modern home? Not at all. The Pure Oak stain is very light and cohesive, which softens the visual impact of the knots. The grading simply ensures the floor looks like real wood rather than a flat, artificial imitation.

3. How do I maintain the water-resistant finish? Maintenance is simple. Because the lacquer seals the pores, dirt stays on the surface. A regular sweep and a damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner are all you need to keep it looking pristine.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Quick-Step Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
